David Main has been named the first-ever chief executive officer of the Beacon Hall Golf Club, a private, equity-owned club in Aurora, Ont.

“Over the past 12 months, Beacon Hall’s board of directors came to recognize that the club has evolved over the past 20 years since it opened to a stage where it was the right time to have a dedicated, full-time professional managing the club,” said president Robert Dengler.
“The task was to find someone who could complement the board and work well with the golf and service professionals at the club to realize its vision,” he added.
Vice-president Darryl Iwai agreed that the timing was right.
“Our members and our board are experienced business people and know very well the value of strong, full-time visionary leadership for our organization,” said Iwai.
Main spent three years as general manager at the Brampton Golf Club near Toronto to take the CEO position at Beacon Hall.
“I am very excited about working at such a spectacular facility. As a golfer I can truly say this course is both inspiring and challenging. It is a great place to come to work every day,” said Main.

How times have changed working at a club I do remember that at one time facial hair on men was not allowed.
Just a short question:
what is a CEO at an equity club? Is it like a GM but has equity in the club?
