I hope that PACE is passed because the golf business has changed significantly over the past number of years and the Association needs to keep pace (no pun intended).
No system is perfect, however, being competency based instead of employment based is certainly progressive in my opinion.
I too compliment Lindon and Gary and all those who have worked on developing the PACE program.

Ian,

I agree it will be interesting to see how many Members vote. I have been encouraging everyone that I know to get as much information as they can, make a decision and vote.

I thank Lindon for his hard work and perseverance with PACE. His contribution to the CPGA has been significant, especially if PACE gets passed.

It will be interesting to see how many of the 3,500+ members actually vote at the upcoming AGM. Hopefully there isn't as much indifference as there has historically been and the vote represents what the majority of the members want.

I truly hope as the Canadian PGA moves into its next 100 years ,PACE becomes a TOOL to move the association forward, however it still comes to the memberships and the members role to put the drive and passion into the association as Mr Garron has!

If we cannot have committment from our fellow professionals to strive, than the association will continue to remain stagnant. We are only as strong as our weakest link and under our current system that is what we produce..
