Sun Mountain Offers A Standing Ride

February 25, 2010 by

Sun Mountain has introduced the new Mantys, a four-wheeled, motorized cart on which the rider stands rather than sits and steers by shifting weight from one foot to the other.

Mantys comes standard with turf-saver wheels, a universal bag mount, scorecard holder, ball and tee holder and drink holder.

It’s equipped with two 500-watt electric motors that are powered by two 24-volt Lithium-ion batteries that will go 36 holes on one charge.

The cart folds and unfolds to offer a compact riding option. Unfolded, the cart is 51 inches high by 28 inches wide, but folds down to 16 inches tall. It weighs less than 45 pounds.

Built to handle the demands of the golf course, Mantys can handle 20-degree climbs, but leave no trace of damage due to its turf-saver pneumatic tires. Other features include disk brakes and oil-clamped shock absorbers. Mantys can reach a top speed of 12.5 miles per hour.

The Mantys is built in conjunction with Leev Mobility of The Netherlands.
