Dunning Unveils Fall Collection
February 17, 2010 by GNN
The fall collection from Dunning features high-performance tops, bottoms and multi-use layering pieces to provide clean fits, 60s-inspired tailoring and vintage athletic-prep looks in a variety of heritage colours.
The collection incorporates a broad range of newly-developed proprietary fabrics, fibres and blends that are specifically geared to the autumn season and designed to provide functionality for golf, business, travel and leisure.
The Fall 2010 collection offers regular and slim fits to suit a range of body types and style needs, with versatile garments that are engineered from the yarn-up, offering performance features that are built in and won’t wash or wear out over time.
“All of these premium pieces are driven by classic sporting looks and the authentic country club prep aesthetic that’s always been at the core of our business,” said company founder Ralph Dunning.
“For this season, we’ve really extended the boundaries of fabric technology while simultaneously maintaining a price-to-quality ratio that can’t be matched,” added Dunning.
The collection is highlighted by several pieces:
Amp Merino Full Zip
This lightweight jacket is designed to resist pilling and snagging and is suitable for a wide variety of conditions. With a fused lining, the Merino wool is breathable and naturally moisture-wicking. Other style elements include a three-inch shield appliqué, five-inch Dunning tour logo, and 60s-inspired ribbed collar and cuff details.
Coolmax/Merino High Collar Mock
Showcasing an advanced new fabric blend developed in exclusive partnership with Invista, this unique top combines Coolmax Merino wool, polyester and spandex to create a comfortable, machine-washable garment. Designed for golfing in fall conditions, its features include permanent moisture management, stretch and a three-inch high mock neck collar.
Stretch Thermal Wind Jacket
This second-layer piece blocks wind, while remaining highly breathable. Designed for cool autumn weather, its lightweight construction features stretch for enhanced freedom of movement and permanent moisture management. Additional elements include a camlock zipper and five-inch Dunning tour logo.
Coolmax/Merino Crew Neck
Engineered to provide next-to-skin insulation and freedom of movement, this short-sleeved crew neck top has a soft feel and athletic fit. An alternative to compression undergarments, it offers permanent moisture management and has a subtle, tone-on-tone logo.
Coolmax/Merino Long Sleeve Polo
Designed for wear both on and off the course, this staple sportswear piece showcases a slim fit and raised placket detail. The proprietary blend of Coolmax and Merino wool provides an array of performance features, including enhanced breathability, permanent moisture management and anti-microbials for odor control.
Stretch Singlecut Polo
Narrow in the shoulder and torso, the roots of this slim fit top can be traced directly to the classic polos that were commonplace in the 1960s. Its features include a contrasting knit-in chest stripe detail, mid-bicep sleeve length, narrow placket and self collar. The anti-microbial performance fabric provides breathability and moisture wicking.
