The top three players on this year’s CN Canadian Women’s Tour Order of Merit will receive entry plus entry fees worth $5,000 U.S. into LPGA sectional qualifying, while the champion of each tour event will be eligible to compete in Duramed Futures Tour events for the remainder of 2010.

The opportunity to move on to Q-School and to play on the LPGA’s main development circuit go along with the six exemptions available from the tour into the CN Canadian Women’s Open, three to each individual event winner and three to top finishers on the Order of Merit.

“This important enhancement to our tour will undoubtedly help to attract the best possible field of competitors to our championships,” said Richard Kuypers, tournament co-ordinator for the CN Canadian Women’s Open.

It was also announced that this year’s events will be played May 5-7 at Quilchena Golf and Country Club in Richmond, B.C., including a nine-hole pro-am, June 27-29 at Blue Springs Golf Club in Acton, Ont., and July 11-13 at Club de golf Rivermead in Gatineau, Que.

Total season prize money for the 2010 season is $180,000 Cdn. for three events. Each 36-hole championship purse will be $60,000, with the champion being awarded a $10,000 winners’ cheque.
