Solaire Ball Has Soft Core, Thin Cover
November 5, 2009 by GNN
Callaway uses an ultra-soft core for lower driver spin and more spring off the clubface, complemented by a fast, thin cover for better feel in the new Solaire golf balls for women with slower swing speeds.
The soft, highly-resilient core helps compress the ball through impact to reduce spin for straighter shots and accuracy and add to spring off the clubface following impact for increased ball speed and distance.
Callaway’s HEX design replaces traditional dimples with a hexagonal tubular lattice network on a seamless cover with almost 100 per cent surface coverage. This enhanced symmetrical design is in place to reduce drag by eliminating exposed flat spots.
The Solaire ball comes in either a 100 per cent pure Callaway white or high visibility pink.
