Matthews To Leave Whistle Bear
November 2, 2009 by GNN
Brad Matthews has resigned from his position as director of golf at the Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, Ont. His final day will be Nov. 15.
“I have loved working here at Whistle Bear and I’m certainly proud of the accomplishments of the entire club since opening in 2001,” said Matthews.
“Working with the owners, talented staff and the members has made this facility what it is today. I was searching for a new challenge and I’m really looking forward to the next stage in my career, as well as spending a lot of time with my family,” he added.
Matthews was director of golf during Whistle Bear’s hosting of the Canadian University Championship and two Nationwide Tour stops, the 2004 and 2005 Canadian PGA Championship.
He was also part of the transition from a public course to a private club and the launch of the Whistle Bear Golf Performance Centre, a teaching and fitting facility.
