Alberta Announces Awards

The PGA of Alberta handed out its annual Awards at its 2009 banquet at the Northlands Agricom. The annual awards banquet is held in conjunction with the PGA of Alberta Buying Show. The following are the winners:

Club Professional of the Year: Bob Paley, Kananaskis Country GC.

Assistant Professional of the Year: Kyle Brandt, Belvedere G&CC.

Teacher of the Year: Terry Carter, National Golf Academy at McCall Lake.

Junior Leader of the Year: Adam Werbicki, The Derrick Golf and Winter Club.

Merchandiser of the Year (Private): Priddis Greens G&CC (Ron Laugher, head professional).

Merchandiser of the Year (Public): Kananaskis Country GC (Bob Paley, head professional).

Sales Representative of the Year: Dan Porteous, Callaway Golf.

Jack Skellern Patron of the Year: Callaway Golf.

PGA of Alberta Lifetime Achievement Award, Leadership Category: Jay Wilson.
