Knetgolf Co-Founder Wins eBay Award
October 8, 2009 by GNN
Toronto’s Shaun Shienfield, the co-founder of Knetgolf, has been named the 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year by eBay Canada.
Knetgolf is a recycler and refinisher of pre-owned, brand name golf balls that is expected to provide more than 20-million balls to over 250,000 customers in 2009.
The golf balls are recovered from resorts mainly in Arizona, California and Nevada and undergo a cleansing process to achieve the best condition possible. The golf balls are then graded and priced accordingly.
“Over the past eight years, we’ve steadily built our eBay business by exceeding customer expectations on price, product quality and service,” said Shienfield.
“While it’s gratifying to personally receive this honour, Knetgolf remains focused on growing sales by saving golfers money and delivering first-class shopping experiences,” he added.
Shienfield receives $2,000 with the award, as well as $500 towards a business related course and eBay AdCommerce advertising credits.
