Titleist Has Gone AP With Irons

AP1

The AP1 Irons from Titleist employ an integrated aluminum and soft elastomer Tuned Feel System in the back cavity to improve sound and feel at impact.

The perimeter weighted back flange and tungsten nickel sole bar are in place to put the centre of gravity low and deep for increased moment of inertia, forgiveness and stability, while the thin face and dual cavity design push weight to the perimeter.

The tungsten nickel sole bar is also designed to reduce vibration and offer better feel, while the shorter blade length, thinner top line and reduced visual offset are in place for control and performance.

The AP1s come with an NS Pro 105T lightweight shaft with a medium tip for control and soft end for better feel.

AP2

The Tuned Feel System and dual cavity design are also features of the Titleist AP2 Irons, which have a forged carbon steel body with a high density tungsten nickel sole box to reduce low frequency vibration for more solid feel.

The AP2s also have a reduced bounce sole for improved ground contact and come with a Dynamic Gold shaft.

MB

The MB Irons from Titleist are forged blades designed to offer solid feel through the uniform muscle shape behind the impact area.

The MBs feature a softer topline with a rounder profile and offer a constant blade length with minimal progressive offset and a narrow cambered sole, with optimized bounce angles for better contact.

The MBs have a soft topline, a round profile, blunted leading edge, cambered sole and come with a Dynamic Gold shaft.

CB

The Titleist CB Irons are a full cavity back set with increased inertia and more forgiveness as compared to the MB.

The CBs offer an optimized cavity shape and inner cavity muscle behind the impact area for better feel and a lower centre of gravity in the long irons to offer a slightly higher ball flight than the MBs.
