Hill Hits the Peak at NCAAs

Matt Hill of Bright’s Grove, Ont., has won the 2009 NCAA Division I individual men’s championship.
Hill recorded four birdies against two bogeys to post his third consecutive 69 of the individual competition at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, on Thursday.
His six-under 207 left Hill, who plays for North Carolina State, with a two-shot lead over his nearest rival Kyle Stanley of Clemson.
Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C., tied for ninth after recording an even-par 213 over three rounds.
