Adams Goes Big on Hybrids

Adams is offering a couple of new drivers for ’09, but continues its focus on hybrids, blending their easy-to-hit nature to irons and fairway woods, as well as introducing a new generation of hybrid clubs.

Insight Tech a4 Driver

Featuring a pear-shaped head, the Insight Tech a4 is designed to deliver low spin and high launch for maximum carry distance and roll.

15-gram external weight pad repositions the mass low and back for optimal launch conditions.

The a4 features an external weight pad to reposition mass low and back to improve launch conditions. It comes with a Matrix Ozik shaft.

Insight Tech a4OS Driver

Made of high-tech materials and designed for ease of use, the Insight Tech a4OS has a lightweight magnesium crown designed to be 30 per cent lighter than titanium.

The a4OS is built with Boxer Technology to maximize moment of inertia through geometric shaping for straighter, higher shots.
Tungsten perimeter weighting further increases MOI, while the expanded COR zone is designed to offer a hotter face for increased distance and the a4OS is draw-biased to help eliminate slices.

It comes with a Graphite Design Tour AD YSQ-HL shaft.

Insight Tech A4 Hybrid-Fairway Woods

Adams has blended the easy-to-hit nature of its hybrids to the added distance of its fairway woods with its new Insight Tech Hybrid-Fairway Woods, which feature Boxer Technology to maximize moment of inertia through geometric shaping.

The Insight Tech a4s feature pull-face construction with a high-strength maraging steel face and increased MOI by 17 per cent through internal weighting.

A weight port in the sole is in place to precisely position centre of gravity and allow for swingweight adjustments, while a cambered sole is designed to offer playability from different lies.

The Insight Tech a4 hybrid-fairway woods come with a Matrix Ozik shaft.

Insight Tech A4OS Hybrid-Fairway Woods

A thin, lightweight magnesium crown is in place to make it 75 per cent lighter than stainless steel and transfer weight low and deep for better launch conditions.

Tungsten inserts add weight low and to the back perimeter for higher MOI and better forgiveness, while a hotter face is achieved through pull-face construction with a high-strength maraging steel face.

The a4OS is draw-biased and comes with a Graphite Design Tour USQ-HL shaft.

Idea Tech a4OS Hybrid Irons

The a4OS hybrid irons also feature Boxer Technology and have dual tungsten perimeter weighting in the heel and toe for better forgiveness.

They also have a magnesium crown designed to be 77 per cent lighter than stainless steel for better launch conditions, while a pull-face construction and high-strength maraging steel face are in place to increase ball speed for greater distance.

Also in place is a vibration-dampening system to reduce vibrations by 30 per cent for better feel and sound, while the milled grooves are designed for better spin from various conditions.

The a4OS hybrid irons come with a Graphite Design Tour AD YSQ-HL shaft.
