very timely article -- the year(s) ahead will indeed be very trying for any business that relies upon disposable income (of which golf is definitely one) -- it will be interesting to see those companies / courses which are ready and 'willing' to adapt

- this economic crisis comes at a very bad time for golf which seemed to already be into a flat period with regard to participation and the like / perhaps this will be the wake up call for the game in this country to market itself better (more like a competitive entity within our recreational options and not with this arrogant 'here it is, come and play' type attitude)

- and i like the site by the way -- info in one place is great
